Salary Range: $70,034.00 to $113,200.00 per year 


Workplace Type: Applicants may be considered for hybrid or remote telework options,  
based on assessment of job responsibilities, access to internet/technology, and applicant suitability. Multiple positions available.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE: 

• Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client’s needs.
• Provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design and coordination of large complex projects. 
• Independently apply advanced architectural concepts and designs.
• Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. 
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staff. 
• Responsible for preparing architectural contract drawings and documents necessary for designing and constructing buildings, including theoretical and practical application of architecture and design knowledge in working with international Building Codes, construction specifications, Building Information Modeling (BIM) towards the production of design instruments that include plans, sections, elevations, and construction details.
• Draft, model, and prepare detailing drawings of architectural designs and plans including determining the functional and/or spatial requirements of architectural structures.
• Prepare detailed design document and schematics for clients vis-a-vis customized design and structure specifications. 
• Responsible for making the required calculations for the layout and making sure that the project's blueprints and layouts comply with industry codes and legal standards.
• Perform site analysis and feasibility studies to determine if a location is suitable for a building based on environmental factors such as sunlight exposure and wind patterns. 
• Identify building materials, preparing estimated costs including construction materials and labor cost, and assessing the total construction time of projects. 
• Develop final construction plans incorporating the building's appearance as well as details for its construction including floor plans, elevations, renderings, and sketches.
• Provide working drawings, schematics and input to the construction team. 
• Coordinates architectural scope of work with that of other engineering disciplines (such as Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire-Protection) for integration into building systems.
• Exercises sound judgement in the execution of assigned projects, including assignments employee may delegate to more junior team members. 
• Research and solved problems independently and seeks input from more experienced resources when needed. 
• Exercises QA/QC over own and delegated work but seeks guidance when needed or when time constraints dictate.  
• Organize the work effort of junior staff for portions of the work performed under the employee’s supervision. 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Must have a Master’s degree and five (5) years’ experience in Architecture or related in the job offered or relevant architecture-related occupation. In lieu of  Master’s degree will accept a 5 Year Bachelor degree in Architecture or related plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or relevant architecture-related occupation. Applicants that qualify through a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture must have five-year Bachelor’s degree. 

Must have the following:
 
(1) Working knowledge of Revit, Rhino, 3DS Max, Vray and Grasshoper as well as the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
(2) Superior design skills related to the design of large and complex buildings, including mixed-use, educational, commercial, and/or mission critical facilities.
(3) Working knowledge of US based codes, such as the current International Building Code, and standards related to accessibility and sustainability ADA, LEED are required.       #LI-DNI
