Seeking a new career challenge? Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a Senior Director of M&A Integration to join our dynamic Finance Team. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for will lead end-to-end integration efforts for all mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. This role ensures seamless cultural alignment, operational efficiency, and realization of synergies across all of Woolpert’s operating sectors. The Senior Director partners with executive leadership and the M&A team to define integration strategies, oversee due diligence, and drive standardized processes company-wide. Qualified candidates will lead and oversee comprehensive integration planning, including workstream structures, timelines, and governance models.

Essential Functions  

As a Sr. Director of M&A Integration at Woolpert, you will: 

  • Lead and oversee comprehensive integration planning, including workstream structures, timelines, and governance models.
  • Oversee cross-functional teams (finance, HR, IT, legal, operations, sales, cultural integration) to deliver on integration milestones on a prioritized and efficient timeline.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure cohesive understanding and aligned execution of the integration program.
  • Direct establishment of consistent playbooks, tools, and templates for rapid deployment of integration activities.
  • Ensure alignment of new acquisitions to Woolpert’s financial and operational reporting systems, ensuring transparent tracking of synergy targets.
  • Ensure change management initiatives are set forth and implemented to accelerate adoption of best practices and preserve talent. 

Due Diligence & Pre-Close Support

  • Collaborate with corporate development, operations, legal, HR, IT and finance to evaluate target company risk profiles and strategic fit. 
  • Guide and advise on financial, operational, and tax due diligence processes, identifying key integration risks and value drivers.
  • Manage and assist in preparing integration-related diligence deliverables, such as synergy analyses, organizational design proposals, and IT compatibility assessments.
  • Advise deal teams on post-close readiness, ensuring critical activities (e.g., data migration, client communication plans) are scoped and resourced.
  • Based on due diligence findings, ensure execution of integration activities prior to closing and ensure Day 1 activities are fully planned and operationalized. 

Leadership & Strategy

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing integration team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Drive ongoing refinement of M&A integration methodologies based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
  • Act as an integration champion, building internal awareness of the value of structured, proactive post-deal planning by maintaining strong communication and alignment across all stakeholders.

 

Minimum Requirements   

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience leading M&A integrations in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Proven track record in architecture, engineering, geospatial, technology services, or professional services sectors is a plus.
  • Ability to project manage in a fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Deep expertise in pre-close due diligence, synergy modeling, and integration planning.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA is preferred. 

 

Preferred Skills and Abilities 

  • Experience managing deals between $20M–$250M+ in transaction value.
  • Background with top-tier consulting firms (e.g., LEK, BCG, Deloitte, PwC, EY, etc.) or internal corporate development teams.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with enterprise ERP and CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Salesforce).

Posted Salary Range

USD $215,000.00 - USD $230,000.00 /Yr.
