Woolpert is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist to join our dynamic corporate communications team, working remotely and reporting to the Internal Communications Manager. The IC Specialist will be responsible for creating and distributing timely, relevant, engaging communications to our employees globally, as well as helping to scale the internal communications function for our rapidly growing company. Essential Functions

As an Internal Communications Specialist at Woolpert, you will:

  • Write, edit, and distribute internal content in various formats across multiple channels, including intranet articles, emails, videos, Viva Engage, and the company newsletter.
  • Partner with stakeholders to scope and deliver recurring and ad hoc communications, advising on strategy, tactics, and creative direction.
  • Source and create content that highlights Woolpert’s diverse portfolio of services and projects, helping build internal awareness and business acumen within a distributed global workforce.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Communications Manager and other leaders to help develop strategies and infrastructure for scaling the internal communications function.
  • Serve as a “voice of the employee,” building relationships with people across lines of business, functions, and locations; advocate for clear, concise, and engaging employee-focused content; and gather employee feedback and incorporate it into internal comms strategies and tactics.

 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 3+ years’ communications or professional writing experience OR 6+ years’ communications or professional writing experience
  • Software: Microsoft Office365
  • Attributes:
    • Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with basic working knowledge of AP style.
    • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
    • A can-do attitude, persistence, and a passion for creating employee-focused content that drives action and engagement.
    • Comfortable working autonomously with minimal direction; equally comfortable collaborating with others, including senior leaders.
    • An agile mindset, capable of pivoting to accommodate the changing needs of a rapidly growing organization.
    • Curious, open to learning new things, and responsive to feedback.
  • Travel: Less than 10%

 

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Microsoft SharePoint or other corporate intranet platform(s) experience.
  • Viva Engage, Slack, or other workplace communication and collaboration tool(s) experience.
  • Experience working with global teams and diverse cultures.
  • Experience executing multi-channel communications plans and/or supporting long-range communications initiatives.


The base pay range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 per year; base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
