Job Summary:
The Web Solutions Developer is a mid- to senior-level role responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and deploying web-based applications delivered as software-as-a-service (SaaS). These applications support facility planning, maintenance decision-making, and alternative evaluation by integrating maps, data analytics, and rule-based logic. The developer is responsible for keeping the application and its databases operational, supporting continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), debugging production issues, and fielding technical problems and user complaints. This role combines front-end and back-end development expertise with a strong understanding of data modeling, user experience design, and operational support.
Essential Functions:
The Web Solutions Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive web applications using ASP.NET frameworks. This role ensures the reliability and performance of production systems through debugging, performance tuning, and feature enhancements. Responsibilities include integrating web-based GIS frameworks for spatial data visualization, implementing rule-based logic to support decision-making workflows, managing and maintaining application databases, and ensuring traceability and observability across the application stack through structured logging, monitoring, and alerting. The developer also maintains CI/CD pipelines to ensure the system remains operational during upgrades and changes, manages user access and identity through secure, application-level protocols and practices, and embeds interactive graphs that support user workflows by visualizing rule-based calculations, spatial data, or user-driven simulations. In addition, the developer collaborates with stakeholders to translate requirements into functional digital solutions, applies UX/UI principles to create intuitive and visually compelling interfaces, and actively contributes to Agile development cycles to support continuous improvement.
