Overview

In this role, you will work collaboratively within a survey crew, contributing to the collection of vital data using Trimble RTK/GPS technology and underground utility locating equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting data efficiently and accurately during field surveys.
  • Utilizing Trimble RTK/GPS and underground utility locating equipment effectively.
  • Providing sketches of work performed.
  • Reading utility maps, plans, and as-built drawings to assist in survey tasks.
  • Working independently or as part of a team to complete assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Willingness to work in a team setting and follow verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record, and eligibility to be covered by company insurance.
  • Willingness to undergo and pass drug screening and a background check.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with electromagnetic multi-frequency locating tools (preferred but not required).
  • Prior experience in utility locating (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to provide detailed sketches of work.
  • Proficiency in reading utility maps, plans, and drawings.
  • Capability to work effectively in both independent and team-oriented environments.
