Position Summary 

Seeking a new career challenge? Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a Sourcing Specialist to join our dynamic Talent Acquisition team in our Johannesburg, South Africa office. This position reports to our Senior Director of Talent Acquisition and is responsible for sourcing candidates for Architectural, Engineering, and Geospatial roles. Qualified candidates will have prior experience identifying and sourcing top talent.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

As a Sourcing Specialist at Woolpert, you will:

  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to gain a clear understanding of both immediate and long-term staffing requirements.
  • Proactively engage with potential candidates, creating and nurturing a talent pool for upcoming positions using platforms like LinkedIn, iCIMS, Indeed, and referrals.
  • Promote and convey the company’s employer brand, highlighting its core values and distinct benefits to attract potential candidates.
  • Monitor the progress of sourcing and recruitment efforts, provide consistent updates, and share important metrics with the Talent Acquisition Lead for weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Assist in promoting internal initiatives like employee referral programs and social media-driven recruitment campaigns.
  • Over time, possibly conduct interview screenings for “evergreen” roles and/or those roles we are consistently looking for and hiring for.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing methods, including Boolean searches, along with experience using job boards and recruitment platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and Applicant Tracking Systems (iCIMS experience preferred).
  • Sourcing experience for US jobs preferred.
  • Engineering, Architecture, Construction and/or Geospatial industry preferred.
  • Proven experience in successfully building and maintaining candidate pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal stakeholders and external candidates.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the internal Talent Acquisition team and engage with external candidates.
  • Must be a proactive, self-starter.
  • Ability to create “outside the box” strategies to attract unique talent.
  • Must be fluent in English.
