Seeking a new career challenge? Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic BIM Management team at our Johannesburg, South Africa office. This position reports to the Discipline Leader and is responsible for supporting a wide range of project teams focused on mission critical, industrial & civic projects. Qualified candidates will be familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Project Setup, ACC Template Management, Build). Priority will be given to candidates who have coding skills.

Responsibilities

As a BIM Coordinator at Woolpert, you will:

  • Advocate for BIM best practices, ensuring adherence to Project BIM Execution Plans and standards.
  • Review BIM files for consistency and accuracy, proposing model adjustments when necessary and coordinating with relevant team members for implementation.
  • Utilize advanced collaborative tools such as the Autodesk Cloud Services, Revit, Rhino and other advanced technologies to foster multi-disciplinary coordination in a BIM-centric environment.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to personnel on BIM implementation and applications.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to align BIM modeling strategies, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery protocols.
  • Work closely with project managers and other technicians to complete project task. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements 

  • Architectural Degree/ Honours / Masters or Professional Architectural Technologist National Diploma or Btech.
  • At least 2 years of BIM experience.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
  • Understanding of Revit Family creation.
  • Advanced Revit troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Project Setup, ACC Template Management, Build).
  • Familiarity with Rhino, Sketchup, AutoCAD, 3ds MAX, and other software.

 

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Additional proficiency with Revit Add-ins (Ideate, Avail, Guardian, PyRevit, Enscape) is considered an asset.
  • Coding skills are advantageous and would be used in more advanced projects in-house but not required.
