Senior Accountant - Acquisition Integration

Position Summary 

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in our accounting team, focusing on the integration of newly acquired companies. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure seamless financial integration.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

As a Senior Accountant at Woolpert, you will:

  • Assist with the accounting integration process for newly acquired entities, including applying ASC 805
  • Assist with month end close activities and monthly reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for acquisitions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align accounting practices and policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Other projects, as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.  Experience with Deltek, Ajera, and Dynamics 365 is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • AEC industry experience preferred
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on acquisition integration and accounting.
