Join us for an internship experience that offers real-world project involvement within a supportive environment alongside ample opportunities for professional and personal growth. Currently, we are seeking a Marketing and Communications Interns to join our program in Vicksburg, MS and Jackson, MS as a part of the collaborative Numerical Model Modernization Project between Woolpert, USACE ERDC Coastal and Hydraulics Lab and Jackson State University. This internship will be a full-time position working 40 hours (about 5 days) a week during the summer semester (June- August).

 

The Marketing and Communication Intern will work alongside the Woolpert and USACE ERDC Model Modernization team to develop and implement the marketing plan for modernized models. Tasks will include project planning, project management and content development.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively as a member of an industry leading Model Modernization team
  • Gain real-world experience by working on actual projects alongside subject matter experts
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan for modernized models
  • Implement the communications plan for model modernization project
  • Aid in content development for various marketing/communications products using materials from the Team
  • Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence
  • Actively participate in summer intern program activities

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled as a student at Jackson State University, preferably with at least Junior status (Graduate students encouraged to apply)
  • Pursuing an undergrad or graduate degree in Marketing (BBA or MBA) or Communications
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a good attitude
  • Have exceptional multitasking and time management skills
